我個女用開Disney World of English, 睇番答案真係in the tree同on the farm呀! (我以前都搞錯on the tree呀!)
The bird is in the tree (or the bird is on the branch)
I can see a goose on the farm

其實唔難解釋:

- Bird 是被樹葉茂密的包圍下, 站在樹枝上, 但卻不是站在樹的上面 (top of the tree), 所以會用 "in the tree", not "on the tree"; 或者可以好似之前其他媽咪咁用, "on the branch" 就 okay.

- Farm 一般不是一間 house, 是好大的一片地, 所以 a goose 是站在這片地上, 是 "on the farm", 不是 "in the farm".

我都係咁樣解釋比阿女聽, 小朋友會明白的呀 :-P .

in the tree / on the tree

We use on when something is hanging from, supported by or connected to a particular thing while in is used to show that something is enclosed by or surrounded by another thing. Therefore we use on the tree for things that are part of the tree, e.g. fruits, leaves etc. and in the tree for things that are not part of the tree,
e.g. a person, an animal, a bird or a nest:

E.g. There are some apples on the tree.
(The apples are the fruit of the tree and are hanging from and attached to the tree.)

Benny is in the tree.
(Benny is enclosed by the branches of the tree.)

介詞 In, At and On 在表示地方的用法
一般而言:
1. 談到某一點位置時用 At :
e.g. at the corner of street (在街道轉角), at the North Pole, at the crossroad
2. 如我們對某地方中的活動感到興趣，但對該地方的大小或形狀並不在意，我們在這地方前用 At :
e.g. at the folk club, at Central Station, at Kennedy Airport, at the XXX restaurant, at Mark and Spencer, at the theatre, at school etc.
3. 談到在某一線或平面上的位置時用 On
e.g. on the river, on the road, on the line, on the ceiling, on the farm, on a plane, on the surface, on earth, on the table, on the lake, on the wall, on a page, on the lawn, an apple on the tree etc
4. 談到在某三度空間 (立體，空洞，包括四面被圍繞起來的平面) 的地方中位置時用 In
e.g. in the long grass, in the wardrobe, in the car park, in that field, a bird in the tree, in the car, in the bus etc.

但實際情況可能相當複雜，並非經常可以確定那個字才是正確 :
e.g. There is a misprint in the sixth line on page 22.
e.g. I won't stay in bed, but just lie down on the bed for half an hour.
e.g. In the Himalayas
e.g. On Everest
e.g. In the picture
e.g. In the sky
e.g. In the corner of room (在房間一角)

都是要多聴，多講，多讀，多寫。

嘩!你的解釋好詳盡呀! 最近我買了套關於小學preposition的光碟叫做Use of Preposition, 適合7-12歲, 幾好玩嫁, 好似打機咁要答對問題過關, 每條問題如果唔明可以按下個掣有詳盡解釋和例句, 仲可以print D問題出來作測驗卷, 我個女未玩過因為太深唔適合K3, 但係我就試過過關, 有D問題自己都答錯呀!
