My son has the same complaint these few days. He told me that many of his classmates have money for snack. As I have prepared some snack and drink for him every day, I don't really think he needs the money. So I tell him if he behaves as a good boy including doing his homework properly on his own and write more carefully, I will give him some money to bring school the next day. As a start, I think around $5-$8 per day is enough, as there is almost nothing costs less than $5 but most of them are less than $8.
