my girl is 1A's, her handbk yesterday wrote "Bring CLB on (date)", but she hasn't get any Chinese class library from teacher (only got 1 Eng. library bk). Anyone can advise or has the same situation in class ? Tks a lot.

CLB = Class Library Book.
This reminder will be given by the English teachers, so they use this term for the English Class Library Book. If the reminder was given by the Chinese teachers, they will write in Chinese, like, 還圖書 / 還中文圖書.

Different grades will have different schedule of the quizzes. So I have no idea about the schedule for P.1. They will give you about 1 - 2 weeks' notice about the coming quizzes for you to prepare with your girl.

Please note that for Maths, it is not quiz, but test. Normally, there will be a Math drill before the test, which is only a revision and the marks will not count. This test will count 50% on the report's record.

The girls have started for the Chin/Eng dictation and Maths mental quiz for quite some time. How does your daughter perform ? Do they like school ? My daughter still misses a lot her honeymoon days in the kindergarten.

my girl in iA, she's same feeling abt her kin-school days. I can tell she's tired everynight after the homework, online exercies, & study for dictation; no play at all, especially these weeks. Wondering how it will be later ie 2nd term, will only gets harder and more....
just hope she'd get use to the schedules (with some fun in there)

My daughter only got 11 out of 20 marks for her Chinese quiz. She / We need to work harder! :naughty:

My daughter got 12 out of 20. It's fine for me as long as she loves to go to school. Only when she loses the interest in studies that I will start to worry.
