:wave: Hi, 小女是今年小一新生, 在適應上大致都冇問題, 但她說
D 老師好嚴 (可能好同以往幼稚園比較). :roll: 今日英文科派左
2 POEMS, 是否每天也要帶回學校 ? 另外, 下星期便要
上游水堂, 很擔心佢換衫會有問題呀..

1) What are the names of the 2 English poems?
Will that be the "speech materials" for the upcoming 59th Hong Kong School Speech Festival?

2) My child was in P.1 last year.
What I heard is that the pupils can manage to get changed by themselves.
Don't worry too much.
Actually, this is a good chance for them to learn and manage by themselves. :-) :-)

3) It is naturally that you tend to compare the present situation with that in K3.
Whether the teachers are strict or not is yet to be seen as it is only one week since the start of the school term.

Glad to hear that your daughter has enjoyed the school life so far.

I believe there might be a bit more homework from next week onwards but I woud say that the amount of homework should be manageable.

Kids can get on well with each other very quickly.
But I have to alert you that your daughter will hear lots of gossip from other kids in the school bus. :-) :-)

hi principal,
my daughter will take her first swimming lesson on next Wednesday. i want to know how long did the kids take
the shower after swimming lesson. Are they have
sufficient time to finish the shampoo and bathing process.

1) Chinese dance

- If your daughter would like to join the school team or
other ECAs after school, you better have a look at the timetable
of the extra school buses
that will be provided first and then plan for the pick-up.
Go to the school web site and click "School Information"
and then click "Extra School Buses".

I believe the school will distribute other circulars
introducing what other free ECAs and paid ECAs
will be available for P.1 soon.

Then, you have to decide what you want to join.

Audition will be held for school team so if there will be
more pupils who would like to join a particular one, the school has to pick up the more qualified ones to
represent the school.
But you can submit the form to the school first.

2) Speech Festival.

- Theoretically, the school will not provide training to
the pupils. However, the English teachers will pick up
a few in October and give some brief tips to them before the competition.

In case you would like your daughter to receive more
comprehesive training before hand, you may have to look
for private centres or tutors outside.

The pupils have to clean up in just a few minutes.
My child told me that  the pupils did not use even shampoo but just clean water.
The time is bit rush during the lesson so you have to do a
thorough cleaning  for your daughter when she returns
home that evening.   :-) :-)
