P1 - sharing of good readings and stories

Dear P1 parents,

we can share good readings and learning materials and pool together our resources.

I found a children newspaper: Daily 7 very good for kids to read, very easy to understnad and catch up, though a bit expensive, 360 for 3 months.

Thanks Principal. I have looked at the sample with my child, he found it interesting, so I subscribe 3 months for him for a trial period.

Anybody share with us how do you feel about the newspaper from SCMP student version or other newspaper subscribed by the school? I missed the date to hand in the reply slip. I found that the cost is much lower if we subscribe the SCMP, how's your child like the newspaper? can you share......

Cost is one thing.
The most important point is to let our children cultivate the reading habit, be it interesting newspaper, magazine or book.

My son likes to read Daily 7 too.

Cos they often present something new and interesting to kids.
eg parrot celebrating its 6xth birthday - can parrots really live that long, normally how long do they live ?????

Agree that it is quite expensive, but part of the cost is for daily postage.

Bluestar,

1) Sometimes the "Joke of the day" in the Daily 7 is quite interesting.
The following one was published on Oct 31st.

Which is faster, hot or cold??

For those who have subscribed Daily 7, we all know the answer and it is very funny.
But I will suggest we let those who have not subscribed it to make a
guess on the answer for one day and I will post the answer here tomorrow evening.
Just treat this as a game!!!:-)

2) Can you please tell me how to make a link of a web address here so people can just click on it and go to that web site automatically?
According to my sixth sense, I understand that you know how to

Open a new IE window, go to that website first, then copy the "website" line onto your BK post.

(Hope you know what I mean.)
