Dear all,
Have you browsed the parent's notice 115 today? It's terrible to note that all below standard students' name would be publicise in such a way! No privacy!!!

I cannot find notice 115 in intranet. Seems that it has been deleted.

It was a private letter named to 1-2 students each class (P.2 to P.6). It was termed as warning letter to below standard students. The webmaster was so careless to upload such a private letter and the namelist to the intranet! Wish it will never happen again!

Dear all SPCC moms,

May I know your views about the English standard at SPCC? My child has been admitted to P1 in the coming Sept but I have a colleague whose son is studying at SPCC P3 told me that the English teaching at SPCC is not that good and the standard is not that high. Those students with high standard are in fact attribute to private teaching at home by parents or private tutors. On the contrary, the teaching of Chinese is really good as it's very organised.

What do you think?

I think the English standard is good, even better than my daughter's school. (When comparing with the same P.1 level)

Quite difficult words are taught and some grammar nearly up to P.3 level.

You may double check again with others.

Thanks. Do you think your child can speak fluent English with the English teaching at SPCC, if there is no private tutor/ extra English lessons outside school?

Hum...... I haven't hired any English tutor to my son but I think he can speak English and communicate with my Philipino helper, even better than my daughter. The most important thing is that my son's Putonghua is good and improved greatly.

It depends on what kind of kindergarten your son is studying. My daughter studied at no-pressure type kindergarten and took 2 months to adapt to the new environment. Other Mum can share if traditional type may be better.

Same as ABC媽咪 said, the adaption is based on the child. For my son, he is o.k. since he studied in a traditional kindergarten before.
