Dear Dabby Cheung,

Thank you very much for praising my daughter. Although Iam not an expert in teaching kids, I would like to share my experience. The following points are important:
1. Concentration in all lessons
2. Checking homework and giving explanation on mistakes she made.
3. Extensive reading in both Chinese and English, do not limit by the grade of learning.
4. Exercises and revision before tests and exams.
5. For mathematics, learn it through daily activities, e.g. measuring the total area of my flat to learn how to calculate the area of different shapes.

Your son is in G8, right? I think it is quite different from primary school but learning from teachers and revision are essential for improving in every aspect. And you son did a great job in exams too.

各位優才家長,
我小朋友唔係資優生, 只屬於中等水平, 加上唔係好主動思考, 入優才會唔會唔適合呢? 即係唔入題? 因為我唸教資優生同一般水平學生唔會同一樣方式, 咁大家同一班的話程度會唔會好快有距離呢? 有d較傳統學校只着重提拔拔尖班學生,餘下的不多注重, 優才又會唔會着重資優生方面呢? :-?

As I know that EMB requests all DSS have to follow the core program of HK mainstream education, ie. the primary students have to sit in the Attainment Tests , the secondary students have to prepare for HKCEE / 334......... And the DSS can develope the programs as IB etc, as well as the HK mainstream education program, but cannot offer only IB or other non-HK mainstream program . Thus, GT prepare our children to sit in different public exams in advance levels, Fryers,KET,PET, IGCSE........& develop both HK mainstream program & IB in G10/G11, to prepare the students to achieve higher academic levels & study in universities both oversea & HK.
