IB 適合那些小朋友?

有冇讀緊IB小朋友嘅家長可以分享吓那些小朋友唔太適合讀IB? 係咪本身小朋友要好自律? 還是讀讀吓IB都可以訓練倒佢哋自律同自主學習?

有人話DSE可以最後衝刺,IB 計較多在校成績,又多功課所以段段谷 。亦有人認為平時唔俾人谷下,最後怕衝唔起 。

總結係如果唔鍾意寫野,唔鍾意present 咁可能唔岩IB 卦 。

我認為如果由小學開始讀IB,應該不少小朋友都適合,但只係集中在 IBDP就會有更高要求,孩子是否適合就要仔細考慮, 不論是那種情況,你及孩子是否希望有以下的IBer 特徵,是否讓孩子受用終身,如果跟大部份Ek網友想法只係考慮「錢途」,咁可能你們不適合嘅機會大咗。 What is the IB Learner Profile? The attributes of an IB student are defined by the 10 attributes of the IB Learner Profile: Inquirers, Knowledgeable, Thinkers, Communicators, Principled, Open-minded, Caring, Risk-takers, Balanced, and Reflective. These traits aim to develop well-rounded, lifelong learners who are prepared for a globalized world by cultivating both academic and personal growth. Inquirers: Develop a natural curiosity and a love for learning. Knowledgeable: Explore concepts that have local and global significance. Thinkers: Apply critical and creative thinking skills to solve complex problems and make reasoned decisions. Reflective: Thoughtfully consider their own learning and experiences, assessing their strengths and limitations to support their learning and personal growth. 我在多年前在EK「備戰大學」,置頂部份有幾個帖都係講我如何跟兒子一同選擇NSS,抑或IB,可能有些數據及資料已經過時,不過考慮點大部份還是有些參考價值。

陳Sir 經驗,淨係讀最後2年,是否可以培養以上IBers 特質?

就算讀滿12年都未必有齊10個特徵,而且每間IB學校的做法都有不同,集中「求學只為求分數」,多元智能發展已經可以南轅北轍,如何取得平衡是要有智慧。 我哋嘅經驗係每個小朋友都有其中幾個特徵,有些明顯,有些少少未有栽培出來,有些是我們根本沒有考慮到。 我哋係希望在IB能夠發掘及栽培那些缺欠,例如risk taking 係好明顯的改變。10個有幾個好明顯,有些係有進步,有個別跟他性格不吻合,但係認知上已經有個譜,不再是致命缺點。

我個小朋友由yr2 開始讀IB 至到今年考IBDP. 小學時候係好輕鬆好開心不過係學到野. Yr 6 要做畢業project. 上左中學, 功課係多咗少少不過仍然應付到. 但係一去到DP, 就見佢晚晚都做功課, 溫書攪到好夜先瞓. 呢個時候靠佢地自律性. 家長係幫唔到.

我女才初中,初步睇需要的技能要寫野叻語文能力好,整理和分柝資料,group work同present等,我覺得我哋以前大學先學,唔好睇少presentation, 其實要好熟書才可做到仲要好通透因為要回答同學問題。 如果DSE主要自己溫書背書操券其實簡單啲,通常都係驚中文冇把握考得好。 至於點揀相信提供兩種課程的本地學校都揀得好好,國際學校就冇得揀,如果覺得唔適合IB的多數考完IGCSE就會去英國讀A level.
