The standard of Chinese varies a lot in an international school, somewhat like the standard of English varies a lot in a local school. Anyway I was responding to Chinese being an ECA, which is not true if a school offers Chinese A and B. It is not true if a school offers Chinese B for that matter as offering these courses requires serious resources. ECA by definition is for fun and one or two times a week. Most international schools do not take Chinese lightly these days because more than half of their students want reasonable Chinese.
