Don't cal. like that, if you feel $5,xxx is too much. You shouldn't select CKY cos the school fee will be much higher than this in upper forms. I have no offence but it is true fact although CKY's fee is cheaper than international school but still much higher than those DSS and subvented one.
Most parent select CKY but not DSS has one objective is to let their kids not to follow local exam cos it goes too extreme on mark driven base. It doesn't mean exam is useless but it just reflect how far kids learn and nothing worth spending hours for memorise exact wording.
For DBSPD or SPCC or other DSS, since they are required to let most of their graduate to follow local exam(gov. policy in return for their subvention), they can't provide all class to follow IB stream. They alway claim it all depends on the suitability of student to follow IB or local exam, do you believe?
For parent concerning why CKY go for IGCSE and IB rather than just like the future form six local exam. I still support CKY's decision since I admit some student can not cope with the IB's standard for studying, there should be exit point for them. Some may say would it be the local exam? If that is the case, student will back to the marks driven machine and the endless suppl. workbook for precision and speedy result. Is it all we want?
