I can't find any official document from EDB / EA confirming this.
However, many teachers and tutors sit for DSE repeatly and they all claim that their performance as private candidates won't affect the school candidates.

I checked the grading procedure from EA: -

The cut score for each grade need to be reviewed and determined every single year based on the actual performance of the candidates (Section 4).


Both the live examination and the SBA scores for the candidates need to be reviewed and evaluated to determine the cut score. Only the performance of school candidates with SBA scores are included in this cut score determination process. Hence, results of private students and repeaters with no SBA would be excluded.


After the cut scores are determined based on school candidates performance, they will be used to grade the private students and repeaters.


The above is just my interpretation but this align with the school candidates performance this year. With 摘星and other mainland private students got so many 5**/5*, the 5**/5* % of school students shows no significant drop from prior years.
