回覆 retriever 的帖子 HK have 12 years of free education so it is fair for all the students receive the same amount of government funding in respect of DSS or Aided school. My question is how this 2.33 x tuition fees cap is set? To me this cap is excessive and unnessary. It is perfectly fine for DSS schools to provide quality and diversified education to suit the needs of some parents. However, how can it justify DSS schools to enjoy full autonomy in student selection while they receive full subsidy from government at the same time? The interview process can easily deprive the chance of children with less family resources to enter these quality DSS schools, particularly in P1. |

Sorry for the confusion. Funding here means government subsidy plus tuition fees from parents. |
