| Dear ritawong, There is only one interview (individual,no group discussion) in DGS. The interview was conducted in English and Putonghua. Oral only (no written test).The questions are common but flexible, just aiming at exploring the character and strengths of the applicant. The Headmistress asked my daughter to tell her something about herself, her strengths and views on a specific topic. There were also English maths questions and some of them are olympic maths. Last part is the testing of Putonghua competency. She was asked to read a passage and answer 1-2 questions in Putonghua. The whole interview takes about 15-20 minutes. Regards |

| I would say DGS accept girls with many other talents apart from academic. My girl is only ranked 3x in her year and yet she is accepted by DGS because she is particularly good at singing. |

| Dear ritawong, Parents can accompany their daughter to go in the interview room. After greeting, we have to wait outside. No questions for parents. For Eng maths, the questions may be given in both verbal and written form. Applicants are given a number of cards and each consists of one question. Mental calculation only. Regards |

| 女兒是參加學校的奧數班,這課程由學校與其他機構合辦 (最初是由香港數學學校http://www.hkmos.org/,後期是香港奧林匹克協會http://www.hkmo.org/),個人認為後者較好。 但我認為只為考學校而參加,就不值得了。:funny: |

| Dear Smartestmama, 謝謝資料及回覆, 其實我亦曾買過一些奥數書給女兒試 做, 但她沒有興趣, 我想讓她利用這個暑假去學, 開學 後, 相信沒有時間再學, 但有些津校以及DGS都有機會 測試奧數, 故我有些擔心, 但其實小朋友已很忙...... 如果interview奥數唔識, 是否代表無機會? 謝謝. |
