當dse成爲高二加補習學校的分數為本的簡單版gaokao，這一課程的國際認受性真的會一如既往嗎？

The problem is not the standard of DSE too low but Gaokao is too competitive.

When the Gaokao trained mainland students sit for the easier DSE, it is not surprised that they can get good results. Just the same as the DSE trained HK students do well in IAL/IB/ACT/SAT.

· 聯招取錄人數創新低，學友社學生輔導顧問吳寶城指，獲派八大學額的非聯招本地生比例已接近兩成上限。他分析指，驟眼看今年有更多應屆IB狀元尖子在接受傳媒訪問時稱擬留港升學，而非選擇負笈海外，相信是受到本港經濟環境及地緣政治影響，從而導致大學分配更多學額予循非聯招入學的IB考生。吳亦估計與循非聯招的「學校推薦直接錄取計劃（SNDAS）」入八大人數上升有關。不過，若計及今年循SNDAS接受八大直接錄取的335名文憑試考生，今年亦僅約12,692名文憑試考生獲錄取，仍屬新低。中文大學入學及學生資助處處長王家徹則指，今年文憑試考生人數回升，整體成績亦不俗，對於獲派人數及比率下降感意外。他估計因新學年（2025/26學年）踏入八大新一個3年期規劃，為免超出4%的「超收」上限，大學收生時更審慎，或在設定收生最低成績時「更進取」。他指中大聯招收生按年跌1.4%，透露全校約70個課程，約9成課程聯招收生成績均上升。王家徹直言，若各大學聯招收生人數不足會造成學位浪費，令學生或需透過副學士課程，再爭入八大，強調各校均有責任作出預算，向聯招生派出一定學額，以照顧各階層學生需要。

Honestly, I don’t think they’re the same. Just think about the population. I’m not sure how many students who were supposed to take the really competitive Gaokao might switch to IAL/IB/ACT/SAT, but the number for the upcoming DSE could be pretty significant, if not dramatic. And the total number of DSE takers is much smaller than that of other international exams? It might not just be about visa-dependent or DNPR students. What if some parents see this as an easier way to get enough stars for overseas universities? The number of competitive Gaokao students could actually be more than all the DSE students in F6 in Hong Kong. So, how many stars do you think local day school students can get? This could really change the educational landscape. But is it fair to local families and schools that are sticking to the DSE syllabus as it was meant to be?
