See. Agree it's slightly expensive but as long as Preston likes the teacher & that he can really learn, it's good enough.

Of course it's the parents' decision entering in PE (Putonghua English) or CE (Cantonese English) class. No interview is needed if you kid is in PN class of the school.

The ratio pretty much depends on the number of application I think. Usually, there are about 25 students vs 2 teachers. No need to worry too much because the teachers will be able to take good care of each kid in the class.

Interview for PN ? As far as I remember, the school didn't actually ask us many questions. It's a normal conversation. However, a teacher will interact with the kid separately.

As for nationality of NET, it's really difficult to tell. From my observation, I guess the school recruits teachers from Canada, US, Australia & Europe.

It seems that this school can provide very good language learning environment to the kids.

Dear all,

Brian felt bored at home yesterday. He was upset when he realized that both my husband and I had to go to work. He even asked his daddy to stay. My dad brought him to the McDonald's and then to have hair cut in the afternoon. He then stayed at home and wait for my return.

Same case as Davin. He wanted to follow us when we left.

He visited the Health Clinic for 4-yr old check up. He went to the park also.

Doris,ljsze,
Preston also asked me to stay too. He practiced piano and went to the park. Then when I called him in the afternoon, he told me he's doing housework. He helped my maid to fold the clothes and wipe the floor. He enjoys doing housework (for fun):-)

So, did you buy a piano for Preston ?

Lydia, Doris

Does your kid call you ? Davin calls me almost everyday.

ljsze,

Brian started to call my husband and I not long ago. The feeling of receiving his calls is so sweet. However, Brian didn't manage to talk on the phone well and he would hang up sometimes without saying bye.

Lydia, ljsze,

Brian started to learn piano since a week ago. It's too early to tell whether he likes it. I will let him try a few more lessons to see if he wants to continue.

ljsze,
I don't have a piano at home but planning to buy one later.

Doris,
Where does Brian learn piano? Cheuk Yan and Preston has the same piano teacher.

Doris,ljsze,
Preston used to call me more a few months ago but less recently. It's so funny that he talked to anyone who picked up the phone and kept talking and talking without asking who he wanted to talk to. Sometimes me or my collegues needed to figure out who's kid was on the phone.(I have a few collegues who have kids at similar age)

Did Brian take eye check-up service provided by the Gov't ?
DorisTSL | 2007-11-14 13:01
Lydia,

Brian learns piano in Parsons (Fisherman's Wharf). Lau Sze Kwan should be a better choice but I consider the location rather than the professionalism of the teacher. Brian will learn piano half an hour after finishing the tutorial in Kumon.

ljsze,

Brian had the eye check a few months ago. No follow-up assessment is required.

Dear all,

Brian likes drawing very much recently. However, he used to finish the drawing with only one particular colour. When we asked him to use different colours, he said he only likes the colour he picked.
