Ian, congratulations to your gal for getting an offer! My daughter has got AM offer, but just wondering if there is any school bus for Kowloon area of Hunghom or Yau Tong.... thanks for your help!

basically it depends. But in short there are preferences given to own kindergarten students, but some of them will head to the pm gov't aided ...

Thanks again Ian, you are rite, I noticed that they have an early start which i think it's a bit early for my girl as we live in Tai Tam. I think it will take us 40 - 45 mins ride and I can imagine how early we have to wake her up which i think it's even worse than PM class, haha!
for ECA, those are just for fun and can be very flexible indeed, I feel a big release to all my concern and looking forward to see you coming September!!!

Congratulations to you, and wish you have more good news to come!

Concerning school bus, they are not yet available for am classes the current year due to low number of interests. But there are nanny buses which pickup at Hunghom and Yau Tong. The difference is nanny buses cannot access the kindergarten's covered car park.

The school bus services will be reviewed in coming months to decide whether the Kowloon school bus services will become permanent. I think there's a chance for Yau Tong/ Lam Tin area since we have a trial route there for pm classes this year.

As I said, I learned a lot from many previous SHCK parents which leave me a great impression of this kindergarten. So, I am just helping out to continue the tradition only, and to set a good example for my children to learn how to share with others!

I also need to thank other SHCK parents to help me out when needed. At the end, my young one is also applying for this year so sharing too much info will create too much competition for her! But at the end, I convinced myself to stop such selfish thinking. But appreciates many SHCK parents to help me fill the gap!

:happy:if you attend school events involving parents, I am sure you will see me!

That's why I have heard of parents who didn't aware of this beforehand and decided to switch from am to pm (not happen often elsewhere).

FYI, there are no school bus services in the Tai Tam area and I worry it can be quite busy with the traffic in the early hours (if you successfully change to am). So, be aware of that.

And for ECA, if just for interest then should not be difficult. K1 is a good time to enjoy the school life and to treasure the time between parents and children. We choose to start ECA in K2 as they grow older and need less sleep so they can explore more and find their interests.

btw, notice your posts in another thread. Kentville was our original target more than 2 years ago. We aimed for that all along until we got the offer from SHCK. We didn't hesitate and can make the decision without much difficulty.
