We got PM offer and SH is really my dream school since we are Catholics. Before making a final decision on KV vs SH. Could you please share the info of nanny bus services? since we are living at Lai Chi Kok and travel distance is our main concern.

I called "Koon Chung" and know that the school bus route at Kowloon side cannot be confirmed till July. The staff told me that if it can be stopped at Lai Chi Kok, that would be route 13, from Tsing Yi to Kowloon Station (if I remember correctly). Therefore, I would like to contact the nanny bus first and then make the final decision.

Can anyone tell me how much time spend from fortress hill to the kindergarten if taking school bus? i'm worried about that my girl will suffer from motion sickness if the journey is long. as i know, the road is quite busy there.

I am not sure whether this is appropriate to share the administration related matters in this platform. Especially this involve negotiations with the school bus company.

Let's put it this way, at the end, the Kowloon routes are arranged by demand. If there are enough demands (i.e. 15 students per route), I can't see why the school bus company would not be interested. In fact, they should be making quite good profits since the current Kowloon West route have much higher demand than we originally expect.

Hi bcbaby,

Thanks for letting me know you are also my "fans", may be I need to organize a fan club soon!

When my daughter started in SHCK, we have no families living in Lai Chi Kok at all. Then started last year, there is finally one family and should be in am class I think. They are being taken care by nanny bus now.

No need to be too anxious now concerning the transportation since the nanny bus company won't give you much commitment at this point of time. Let me see if we can have a more organized way to collect info from families who live in Kowloon side so to make the arrangement.

Just to share a bit of information. I was talking to another parent as we were volunteering for the interview. Their elder son graduated from KV and the young daughter is in SHCK. According to her, she said the level of difficulty on home assignment are quite comparable between the two. Of course, we won't have things like dictation and tests here in SHCK as the few hundred different on tuition fees separate SHCK as voucher-receiving and KV being non voucher-receiving.
