Is it a good place for studying? Please comment.

Canadian international school has a pleasant campus and modern facilities, but my impression is that they emphasize a lot on visual art & sports.
But generally, kids seem to be happy there.

Dear tmlklstkjtrl
Thank you 4 your opinion. But this IS will use IB this year and there has vanancy for PM class. I Know the fee it is very vvvvvv ..... expensive . Is it worth to apply it?

I think the debenture is also a big amount $$$$

Another IS to consider is the ESF.. No debenture required ! and the fees is lesser than Canadian IS.

I hear that ESF has a long waiting list and only accept with an English background child. But, me and my husband use cantonese at home. Even put my girl to learn what intensive IS interview course. Is it helpful? Please comment

I think it is very subjective to say which IS is good or bad. Every IS has its pros and cons..At the sametime, also need to consider the fees, debenture, location, teachers, etc...

Hi vleaf,

I am always against over-preparing kids for admission interviews. Over-preparation can become ill preparation as the teacher may find that the kid does not speak in a natural way and says things that are not appropriate for his age. Too much coaching will aslo give the kid an impression that he is going to face something really difficult, which may not help his confidence. Just tell you kid to be natural and feel free to express what he has in mind and remind him of basic manners eg. saying thank you and good bye at the end. For ESF interview, I think they look for kids who have the required level of ability to learn in English.
