Hi leeamen,

我兒現在食緊RETALIN (10MG ),已有2個月，我都想試食中藥，因為他瘦了很多。
另聽有些人說，食得太多會上癮，不知是否真實?

請pm中醫及魚油資料給我, 謝!

Thank you very much for your sharing. I am currently considering medication for my son but still in an initial consultation process. Aside from doctor's advice, I would like to hear your experience (from parents perspective) in terms of Chinese medication versus Western medication.

My son is now 6 years old and is currently in an international school. The school has provided very good support but I want to make sure that the additional assistance will help him effectively. Sometimes, I am really wondering if western medication will "dampen" his responsiveness and make him look like "dreaming".

I would really appreciate your advice and please feel free to PM me if you think some of your experience is personal. Thanks!

可否提供魚油及中醫資料給我, 謝!

今年9月去私家睇評估左阿仔是 ADHD, 10月頭開始吃 Ritalin (有幫助), 但中間時間好反覆, 之後轉食Concerta 18mg, 好好多但唔食野又好夜都訓唔著, 醫生叫我早d 比佢吃 concerta, 但功課太多又返 p.m. 小學, 無可能早睡,

而家吃左一排 concerta, 無開頭咁明顯, 但我覺得已經好左好多, 唔想再加, 但醫生叫我試 27mg, 但我又唔太想, 大家有乜意見呢 ?

魚油丸朋友介紹有比佢吃, 但聽你講又唔知岩唔岩佢, 因有驗血, 醫生又話阿仔缺Zinc 鋅, 叫我買補充劑比佢, 請問有無好介紹 ?

請問 concerta醫生要收幾多錢, 而家我問政府攞左10個week.

剛剛問左精神科取左concerta 10個week試試, 隔左5年再食返葯,唔知會點, 睇下效果如何再告知你聽.

My son do have positive response to ritalin and concerta, it seems that his response is not "dampened" and not at all looked like "dreaming", his concentration did improved a lot with the medication.

However, we should also consider the long term side effect of stimulant medication, no parent will like to see their kids rely on stimulant medication for life, sooner or later you will have to help them to quit taking stimulant medication, which is a process we must handle with care, without upsetting his school life, without hindering their learning significantly, this is the state I'm struggling to go through! =)
