York新開的國際班

Hi all mommy,

Honestly, I do feel disappointed on YORK's suddenly notice especially they set up an "International Class" --- and the school fee almost is the expensive one in Kowloon Tong other's billingual kindergartens.

I do want to send my girl to YORK for educating her with a GOOD English language environment... but now they suddenly set up an "International class" ... it makes the oridnary class look down grade

But, on the other hand, my friend's son is now studying at oridnary class which the comment is good.... I have told my friend about the international class and she's interested in that change... HOWEVER, per my checking with YORK's staff, the international classes are only set up for 2010 K1's student. So, her son & other upper class kids will not have chance to study in international class at YORK.

Oh no.. i am now so struggled in which kindergartens to be chosen again.

YORK --- why do you make difference talking topic to all your competitors to put you onto the table ... and also why do you make all the parents to an dead corner after they decided to choose you...

****** other mommy, if you have another kindergartens on hand, you will keep to choose to study at YORK ? if so, keep in oridnary class OR International class ?

Can someone share your idea to me. Please ....

新校好大一陣味!起码半年都散唔到陣味.都係舊學校好哋..又近地鐵站..坐校車都是最快放低那個.

咁你又講得有道理.. 原本我都諗住同佢去報普通話班既, 咁而家唔使, 嗰到又慳左... 其實都差不多... 我都寧願喺學校上埋, 不過就唔知個老師有無Heart 教囉....

york...的確趕左一心諗住揀佢嘅家長入死角:dizzy: 我終於明白點解咁多家長點sure揀邊間都好, 都比660蚊"牙"住好多唔同kg嘅位, 起碼唔駛有surprise時無路可走。

我地返學都半年la....:happy: 同埋係我地in個時已經做緊應該冇問題...同埋我有朋友見到話好似好靚咁....希望係la:excited:

其實york都早左一個月收費..我諗係因為剛剛比york開國際班..所以早d收$...睇下有幾多人唔讀..再收生

You should find out more what York considers as International School, simply having a Net or Mandarin teacher does not make it an international school. Chinese is taught as an 2nd language in international schools and their curriculum is to ensure students follow the international school path.

Furthermore, if you cannot provide English speaking environment for your kid at home then just going to school will not make a big difference. An English speaking environment does not mean hiring an Filipino maid.

Strangely, HM made point against International Schools in her presentation. Surprise now an IS at the new campus. I guess she needs to pay of loan for renovation.

Yes, it does sounds like local York school is not as good as the IS.

Hence, will definitely not send my kid to York.

我唔滿意係 誠信問題:
1. 當初校長親口講過會將所有 K1放喺新校舍, 依家只有國際班先肯定...
2. 國際班嘅構思一定唔係一時三刻想法, 點解唔早講!
3. 校長親口講過普通話係York 弱項, 來年必需改善, 但佢嘅改善方法只係另增國際班, 咁本地班又點??? 如果有日國際班被批評英文差, 係咪又要加錢另增"超級國際班" 呀???

到而家大家唔好太擔心了 !

1) 無other offers 既, 就讀住1年先啦 ! 唔好諗得太負面, 唔值既k2轉校囉or讀一d唔出名既, 明年repeat k1, 反正大部份york收既都係細仔, 出年再考, 有機會考到更好既幼稚園
2) 有其它offers既, 就考慮一下讀其它kg, 都係讀1年, 唔滿意, 就轉返york lor.

我朋友個女, 都係咁讀多年k1做大女, 之後考到SPK, 所以唔好自己嚇自己先啦!

我好好彩, 剛考到一間好好既幼稚園, 所以我唔讀york了,

希望其它媽媽不要大擔心, 唔好再諗學校未來會做D咩, 而家應諗下點步處, 如果我自己的話, 我會REPEAT一年, 明年再考, 到時應該好多間都會收的, 咁樣就唔會比學校迫入死角啦 !!

國際班學費實在十分誇張, 思前想後, 查詢過ms fung, 國際班同普通班平均都是2x學生, 應該是一樣的... 其他資料同上面幾位媽咪/daddy大致相同

國際班我估應是在我們聽seminar後設計的, 點解咁講, 若然佢地一早決定應該會大事宣傳囉, 話晒好多家長都真係鍾意local+net雙班住任制, 佢地係一所牟利機構, 又點會錯過每一個宣傳機會呢!

新舊校舍安排問題, 根據當時大家包括我都聽得好清楚新校舍是為2010年度k1而設, 既然每班平均學生差不多, 總收生數目又維持不變的話, 無論有多少學生選國際班定普通班, 我相信都會在新校舍上堂的, 不過佢地講到好似要選國際班先有得係新校舍讀, 我感覺是心理戰囉! 不過, 校舍新舊並不是我主要考慮因素...

試想想每天上課時間只有3小時, 當中可能包括好多 i.e.中文,勞作,唱歌,英文,story-time,playground,小便洗手食荼點etc., 相信net teacher係國際班同普通班既教授時間相若, 國際班反而不是太多優勢

不過多左每天25min.國語堂, 就當difference係補貼國語堂的話, 這都算合理價錢, 問題就是他們的質素, 話晒第一年吾知程度會點?

我都係傾向小女讀國際班, 不過茶點費有少少保留, 校服都會先去九龍城check價, 錢應洗得洗!
