My child is studying in Victoria Kin K2 and I also moved from Yuen Long to Hong Kong Island 2 years ago.

I recommend you apply Victoria Kin (South Horizon campus) K3 for your daughter this year. It's because South Horizon campus is earier to get in (some students transfer to international schools after finished K1 or K2). If your daughter get in Victoria Kin to study K3, she can join VSA without interview. ?-(

My son is in Victoria kin. I have a question want to ask, hope you guys don't mind. I also want to know why you as a parent to pick Victoria Primary for children rather than others famous regular e.g. St. Paul or St. Joseph?? because it's reputation or what? the tuition is pretty expensive, not average income level family can afford it.

I am the one who gave up famous traditional school and
chose VSA.

For me, I think that English is very important but I cannot give up Chinese because it is necessary. Therefore, the criteria of school should be English Primary School, but I will not choose IS, because it is difficult to learn Chinese in IS.

In fact, my kid got a place in famous traditional English Primary School, however, I am working mother, it is difficult for me to help my kid school work if I can only spend 3 to 4 hours at night. I know that it will harm our relationship
finally. My kid may not have good result.

I do not like other private schools, but no government controls them. Although VSA is private, VSA should follow the rule of IBO otherwise their authorisation will be revoked.

Now my kid is P2, I am still very happy with the school.

My case is similar to "Lalawong". My daughter was studying at a traditional local school. It was a nightmare to my wife and me. After one year, my daughter joined VSA. She is in P3 now, very happy. I can say every student and parent are happy with the school. This year, apart from moving to the new premises, the principal has made a significant effort on improving teaching and school activities. My second daughter is now in P1. She loves the two class teachers very much. I anticipate the entrance requirement in the coming year will be very high.

你們好, 我是維幼k3的家長, 小女將於明年升上維小, 但我就有d擔心交通安排, 據悉小學已全面遷入深灣校舍, 請問一下返/放學會否因塞車而很遲才回校/歸家呢? 因香港仔隧道經常大塞車, 課外活動後約4/5點塞車情況更嚴重, 搬家入香港仔又不太可能.......其實十一月份我去了維小新校舍參加講座, 都順便向閘口保安員打聽一下返學放學的交通情況, 希望聽下家長用家意見, thanks

客套話不說了,直入你的主題吧.:P
因為深灣多學校,所以維小的高層同其他的學校磋商完的共識,就係我地將上課的時間延後,咁就全區的校車就不會同時間塞係深灣道.未入深灣前,雅花仔係6:55分係校車站. 而家就7:45分. 現在就變相可以遲多大半粒鐘起床.:lol
至於放學,目前就真係未如理想.佢本應傍晚5:30分返到屋企校巴站.但差不多日日都遲.原因係所有校車都要點齊人,上晒要走的學生才可以一齊開車.你都有見過新校停車場.一條路,唔可以中間架車抽出黎走先.所以若任何一架車未齊人,全隊車隊都要等:L
嗱,我側聞係d中學部d哥哥,姐姐好多時未能準時上車先至咁遲. 因為小學生係有專人帶佢地去校巴集合地點架.
如果你女兒係坐校巴,你應該不用太擔心.
我之前都有想過為雅花仔搬近學校d.但目前的情況都還可以,所以都係再睇定d先.你知喇,搬左入去,要出黎威,無咁方便呀嘛.:loveliness:

多謝你詳細解答, 請問7:45上車是否8:10之前已到達學校, 我估計等電梯上課室都要若干時間吧.........但5:30才到回家的校車站很遲呀, 因校車時間表上放學一般都是4點幾下車, 是有課外活動遲些放學嗎.......我亦實地考察過, 4點幾香港仔隧道出灣仔未塞車既......

其實我都住得遠架(九龍, 不過現在校巴都已經有站), 但不可能搬家因要近長者有個照應........我唸最方便唔怕塞車既只有住香港仔,海怡,貝沙,置富一帶的都不用經香港仔隧道......
