It was very disappointed to find out that the school only encourage students to memorise the words without the ability to recognise the actual Chinese words, may be that's my misunderstanding of Rightmind's teaching as I always praise about the school and tell my friends and relatives that I cannot believe that Rightmind can teach the students to recognise so many Chinese words and my son can read and recognise all Dizhigui and Zhonghuazijing that was taught at school ( and only found out that the school didnt teach in a way to enable the students to recognise the words but only to memorise the passage with no meaning to them ) - I always thought it was really amazing that a 2.5 years old baby can recognise so many Chinese words and he can even recognise and read the words when they appear in different story book。If the school is only trying to stuff as many passage into the brain of the kids with no ability to recognise and understand the words, then i really doubt that's a useful way of teaching ( how many passages that you try to memorise when you were young that you can still remember now?) |
