My son just finished the exam yesterday. He worked hard this time and still have room for improvement.... may be 36+

He had long sleep yesterday afternoon and enjoyed the European Champion Cup games this morning.

Congrat to yr son! Exam before holiday is most preferable to me (unfortunately our case is not).

Play hard & work hard to both parents & children!

Before holiday mean less time to prepare, I would prefer exam after holiday. It is now very difficult to ask my son to do anything until next year.

You are right.

But at least he knows we will honour him to play as much as he can after exam....

The first predicted grade based on the 2nd exam results, its critical for fast track admission in HK and UCAS in UK. He knows that and he starts to work harder to secure 40.
