如果小朋友有反應, 有問有答, 多數都冇問題. But the problem is how to get your child to response during the interview. For me my older daugher was in N1 (a new pm class was opened in Jan 2005) and went right into K1 2005/2006 without any interview. For my son who went to N1 in Sept 2007, went through with the interview last Oct and it was "hell". First of all there was too many children. It was a very hot Sat morning in late Oct. Toys were everywhere, in the school yard, in the hall, with an at least "TWO HOURS" waiting (if your interview is anytime after 10am). The delay was due to 小朋友冇反應. Teachers will ask your child to take a break & try later, so the line up just getting longer & longer. I asked the school why my son having been an existing N1 student had to go through with the K1 interview again where my daugher did no have to 3 years ago. The answer was Nursary & Kindergarten are seperate now. You don't automaticlly get the place, it also give kindergarten a chance to "pick" the student. BTW, you'll be told that your child is "smart" if he/she got into the am class. My older daughter did not stay to study P1 because we got into a petty good girl school but 1/3 of K3 classmates went on to P1. I found that the materials are very difficult compare to my daughter in P1. First of all in K3, you will be using P1 Longman English testbook where in P1, it's using P2 testbook.
