Another point I appreciated LMC in creating a good English background is their policy in selection of students. In their last year annual school report, I read it in the LMC website, there are 50% non-chinese students in school. So, this multicultural environment can effectively enforce students to speak English to each other as a common language they have to use.

Don't forget. Mandarin for chinese teaching is also a important policy in this school. All of us agree that mandarin becomes more and more imporant, and will be another important language over the world.

50% of non Chinese is a lot! It would be great even it also means the competition of local students might be higher.

好老實講, 我由k1 開始就收到lmc 的介紹書仔, 仲要製作成本都係好野, 但對佢冇乜留意, 到第二年又派... 都冇乜留意, 到學校請左兩間學校的校長去我地幼稚園教路, 其中一位係文校長, 第一個感覺係, 幾hard sales, 幾認叻... 但聽聽下, 發覺佢講野係有小小串, 但係有point, 有自信, 跟住我同老公走時都立即望佢本小冊子, 再上網睇下, 發覺.. 咦.. in 埋lmc 做back up都好喎. 後來日子愈來愈近, 我只是in 左兩間, 一間tsl 一間lmc, 跟住自行分配一間, 因為呢兩間直資都係我想要的, 小朋友會讀得開心的, 英語同普通話會學好的, 最重要價錢係絕對比得起的. 仟鬆蚊的國際學校, 邊度搵 ??? 最後自行分配果間我都放棄學位, 而註冊lmc 喇. hahahahaha

Why will you get the LMC leaflet?? Does it have connection to the kindergarten of your kid??

I guess I Would apply for a few more school. the birth rate of 2005 is higher so I dare not to have too much hope.

Hi Whitepine,

我去交表當日下著大雨, 所以急急忙忙, 沒有留意觀察LMC學生說英文如何.

看過幾間英文直資小學給家長等候時,所撥放的校園影片, 裡面學生說起英文帶著濃濃香港腔, 也不太流利, 已經很失望.

看到你所說的, 我就放心多了.

Hi bowienvivi,

其實可能同D老師背境有關掛!!當我帶阿仔interview果日，聽到一兩個老師同D小朋友用英文傾計時，佢地應該係外地讀書，佢地D英文有外國口音的。另外，50%學生是非華籍何能令英語環境國際化吧!!

不過，我都發覺有幾位老師D英文有香港音....:)

I guess all schools would have teachers in HK accent, except the real international schools.

係呀, 一來大家都係保記, 二來, 文校長個女以前都係我地就讀呢間幼稚園畢業的, 所以佢地大家關係幾好咁囉.
