我覺得(我咁諗啫)

最終都係去返個speaker的perspective點樣睇件事,即係個principle都係:

1) Be a spectator of an entertainment-> see

2) Look at (the movie) attentively over a period of time -> watch

即係話,即使地點係重點,但如果講緊case 1), 我們都係用see, 例如比較entertainment係唔同地點:

Do you want to see Star Wars at Elements or at MegaBox?

I want to see Star Wars at Elements.

因為電視要active咁專注睇,而唔係好似1)咁passive,所以電視睇戲唔可以用see。去戲院如果講睇戲個動作,反而可以用watch。所以當比較係屋企同戲院睇電影同一個動作,就用watch了。

由此引申, I am going to watch a movie in the cinema 強調係戲院,而唔係係電視睇。

我諗如果比較唔同野,例如

Do you want to go to the cinema and see Star Wars or do you want to stay home and watch Star Trek?

I want to see Star Wars.

呢D情况都係用see。

I am going to see a movie in the cinema 係有D累贅, see a movie 本身 imply係戲院睇, 正如watch a movie 就 imply on TV / on a computer 。

講左咁多,一般情况無其他原因

I am going to see a movie (in a cinema).

I am going to watch a movie (on TV).

係indisputable 。
