Subjects wise, if your daughter wants to study Phy, Chem and Bio at the same time, it's relatively easy to make the decision because only DSE can offer such a combination, while IB allows a maximum of two science electives only.
Regarding studying in the US, I understand from the briefings held at school that SAT/ ACT would normally be required. Since US uni is not my preference, I have not done any further research. But you may go to eClass > eContent > Careers and you'll find the following which I hope would be of help:

We have a Counselor of Further Studies (Ms Liang) and see if you need to consult her for advice. Btw, I don't consider myself as 前輩 because my kid is not significantly older than your daughter and I'm also a newbie in the path of further studies for my kid.
