Only 3% of pass rate? Is the exam paper suitable for F4 students? |

According to the form teacher of my son, 3% of pass rate rate of math test has never happened before and the worst pass rate may be around 30-40% and it is only turn out from the low form pupils. |

My son know some students who took that exam. http://www.edu-kingdom.com/forum.php?mod=redirect&goto=findpost&ptid=2218821&pid=34261634&fromuid=227573 Why the school told you it never happened? It was because they had made adjustment to the marks. The passing rate raised to over 30% after adjustment. |

No need to worry too much. SFXC has good maths public exam results traditionally. Its 2013 DSE maths results (Maths, M1 and M2 all with 5-5** > 40%) are even better than some other schools good in maths like St. Joesph College and Sing Yin. It should be very top among the Band 1B schools. I believe it is teachers' tactics to give more difficult questions in school exam to challenge the students. When the students are accustomed to more difficult questions, they can then get good results in the "easier" DSE. |

M is compulsory but still have > 40% for above 5. Having said that, students still need to work hard in order to get good results. |

It is the tradition of sfxc math teachers to make students fail in the math test in F4 so that they will work harder. In our days general math is known as 猪 math but the teacher set difficult questions on purpose for the first test in F4 and the pass rate was only 10%........ |
