兩個學制及考試目標明顯不同，各有優缺點。我當年問自己一個最簡單的問題，我想孩子二十年三十年後，那個學制對他影響及幫助最大。

| IB 強調 all-rounded。如果孩子數理科特別強，而語文科和人民科弱的話，讀 IB 可能比較 「蝕底」。女兒有些同學在 G8, G9 時就轉了去讀 AP。 |

個人認為對大部分人來說，IAL會比 IB易應付些少。因為相對唔使煩太多野(IA, EE, TOK,...... 。) |
