P1's campus may be in HK Island. P2 and the upper class are in the campus of So Uk Estate.

Though my kid may not get an offer, the news of moving to HK side is TOO BAD !! I think most of the applicants are living in Kln side. During the 2nd interview, the teacher still said that they were going to move to Kwong Lee Rd. Why is there a sudden change ??? :-o

The principal did indicate her intention of getting two temporary campus I think 9 to 12 months ago during Parent's Night in order to give our kids more room for activities. (However, after the announcement of the site in Shamshuipo, she never mentioned it again.) At that time, she also said she would prefer the sites to be nearby each other so that it is easier to co-ordinate, share resources and cultivate sense of belonging.

A friend of mine whose son was bullied in the school and wanted to change to CKY in the second term but worried about his ability. ANy advice , parents?? :adore:

Hi Caremyson,

Far as I know, applications for school year 2006-7 and Y1 for 2007-8 have been closed.

I'd suggest your friend to call the school for next year's application.

By the way, I would tend to separate the issues of "being bullied" and "switching to CKY". First, changing to another primary school may not be the best solution for "being bullied in the current school". Your friend and his/her son should think of different solutions and compare their pros and cons.

Well, if changing school seems to be the best solution. They should then consider whether CKY is suitable to the child.

As you may know if you have read the discussion on this thread, CKY has quite a different teaching/education approach. A new kid might need some time to adapt to it (esp when other students in his class have been with CKY for more than a year).

As to the standard of English, I assume it is certainly a criterion but I don't have an idea of its 'weighting' in the overall admission process. Fair to say, too poor one's English standard may pose him/her difficulty in an interview.

Would other CKY parents share their views?
