Any student who has already joined the instrument course in Percussion. My daughter is first year to join. She need to buy drum sticks and drum pad and the most expensive one is the Xylophone (HKD1400).
Is that true?

係呀!除了drum pad外, 仲要買一個Xylophone, 我想因為老師除了想學生懂得打節奏外, 亦希望他們學懂睇譜啦!

請問各位家長，學校可否代報名參加校際音樂節(PIANO),因去年問過,話必需要學校敎INSTRUMENT的老師推薦才可,而今年問了很多次都未有明確的回答

去年起，校方已不再為在外學習樂器的學生報名[size=9.5pt]參加校際音樂節，[size=9.5pt]即是說，不會為學[size=9.5pt]piano[size=9.5pt]學生服務[size=9.5pt]
[size=9.5pt]當時有不少家長向校方投訴，認為全港[size=9.5pt]99%[size=9.5pt]學校都會為學生報名Piano比賽
為何CKY連這些基本服務也沒有
甚至有家長去信保良局[size=9.5pt]投訴[size=9.5pt]
[size=9.5pt]要知道，報名校際音樂節是要由協會會員（即是學校）申請[size=9.5pt]
[size=9.5pt]而學生的在外學習樂器導師未必是會員
加上比賽是注明「[size=9.5pt]校際比賽」，實難想像校方何以有此行政決策

綜合道聽途說，原因有三：

基本上，大部份學生都有學琴，故此報考人數眾多，學校不想為此浪費人力資源。

在外學習樂器的學生，得獎數目比在校內學習樂器為多，故此令校方感到尷尬。

校方已有一種名校心態，對於在外學習樂器在比賽得獎的學生，不想沾光。

總之，這是校方的決定，如果今年不變，家長可以「慳番啖氣」，要做的，去年很多家長已經做了。

P.S.
奇怪，最近校方招募游泳隊
但學校好像是沒有游泳班的（是嗎？）
那麼，如果根據校方的思維，

Do anyone know when they will recruit the new comers to the School Orchestra Band? What is their minimum requirement and which Grade they need to achieve or pass? If so, I will arrange and well prepare for the ABRSM exam in this year. She is now in Year 2. Grade 2 or above??

The post you saw was made in 2005, which described the students admission 4 years ago. Given the increasing number of applicants year by year, the school is now having many more choices of students so their KGs could be one of the factors for consideration. [ 本文章最後由 kunggi201 於 07-9-27 13:55 編輯 ]

話雖如此，相比學生的語言能力及幼稚園品牌，我認為學校會視前者更為重要。若孩子能聽懂或操流利英語（及普通話）會較有優勢。

My girl is only come from a English local KG which is only well-known in our area but it is also a PLK brand. However she is not fluent in English but we like to read books together. So I believe the chance is not so low if you kid also likes to read books.
