Hi little duck,

Just want to clarify if you mean the school time table. If so, my son could really remember all for the whole week and report to me how his teachers go through the lessons. For his own schedule of other private courses, he could also remember and pack all mat in advance by himself since he was 5yrs old. Pls let me know if I hv any misunderstanding of yr meaning. Txs!

waltermama,

So, does it mean that the students can choose their own way to remember the time table (they can recite it in Chinese as what we did in our generation?)?

I guess little-duck might refer to "Times Table" - or multiplication table - not the school timetable.

Yes, I am - the "multiplication table" (sorry for my confusion). Can anyone share the experience on how the students remember the "times/multiplication table" if the Maths is conducted by English? In English or in Chinese they should do? Will they be very confused if they remember it in Chinese like our generation but attending the class in English?

My son will have 2nd in. on 26/11.
Any existing CKY parents can share your past 2nd in. experience with us? I'm so excited, as we really target CKY, and my son like the school much !!

Thanks a lot.

你怎知道你兒子喜歡此學校呢?

I've introduced CKY to my son beforehand by site visit, newspaper sharing, peers sharing etc. The key which I presented to my son was 'he will learn happily and freely instead of fully occupied by homework and examination' (like his cousin).
After 1st in., my son told me he attended the most happiest interview. He said teachers were nice and he really wanted to study in the school.
In certain extent, you may say, we cultivate our interest on my son. As parents, we should understand our child, and know what kind of education suit him. I think all children also want to learn happily and freely. That's exactly what I want for my son!
IICHENG, are your child also candidate in 2008-2009? If so, hope we both can really seek a suitable school for our children.

IICHENG,

I understood your concern, because I had same struggle beforehand. However some personal experience in the past few months helped me reflecting seriously.
I think you should ask yourself 'What do you want your daughter will be?', 'What is her character?'.
You know, GH and CKY are in total different styles. GH is definitely 'traditional' and academic oriented. CKY more likes international school, but it's academic performance could not be compared with mainstream schools indeed. You have give and take!
I can only say, it's not easy to be parents nowaday!
