I must admit Smiile's point. I do see some students in the school are very active. In some extreme case, it would be discipline 紀律 issue in traditional school’s perceptive. My son would be a typical one. I remember when he studied P1 from creative kindergarten. He had never been able sitting on same place more than 10 mins. He likes to talk to his classmate at the class. He played his stationary all the time. My son was definitely one of troublesome. It was reason why we could't choose traditional school. I don't want him be afraid to go to school due to straight school rule and policy.

In GT school, I do see teachers try to correct it with different approaches in nice way. They have more patient on this kind of children. Obviously, it must be co-operated with the parents. It won't work without parent support. In our case, the teacher invited my son to teaching room in break discussing my son's discipline issue in the class. She had lunch with my son individually couple times if he kept good condition for while as encouragement. She collected my son's stationary in her drawer as penalty if he playing in the class. She introduced some courses to us in order to build up his concentration. Also, she kept calling us to update my son's situation and asked us keep reminding him on discipline issue over the phone. In my view, the school did the great job and it works very well to my son. Now, his is P2 student and he has better understanding on the concept on discipline without the hard time in the first year. Sometimes, it is difficult to balance between creativity with straight discipline.

Here is my observation on the discipline issue in the school
1) The number of boys is more than the number of girls. In general, boy is more active than girl.
2) Most kids are single child. They are quite self center.
3) Most kids are quite smart, but they have lack of patient.
4) The school encourages participation. The teaching approach is more interactive. The students get lost between participation and discipline.
5) The Cultural different from Native English teacher. Native English encourage students more active in the class. Last year, I remember it was paper plane competition organized by western teachers to fly out from top floor in the class. The headmaster was shock and stops the activity immediately. In P2, my son has over 8 english classes taught by western teachers in a week. They have complete different view of discipline.
