English – 1 year advanced
Maths – half term advanced
Chinese- same level
G.S. – same level

My girl is so far so good with the above but needs to take more efforts on Maths. Regarding the English subject, I think reading more books is much helpful as KTS emphasizes the comprehension ability.

Due to the time limited, I quote again my answers to some old questions which hopefully it can be useful to your queries:


請可否分亨多些老師和學生的關係, 老師對學生的包容程度如何?

As far as I observe, teachers are willing to communicate with parents and students. KTS requires its students to be polite and respect to teachers and others. Students are taught to bow when come across teachers or principal in the campus. 老師對學生的包容程度如何 – it is difficult to clarify as the benchmark for everyone is different. At least, I feel OK. They will also punish students if their behaviours are bad.


教導學生的手法是循循善誘還是嚴格得欠人情味? 學生又喜不喜歡老師? 師生的關係是否融洽?

Overall, their relationships are good. Some teachers even will play with students in the open playground every morning. My girl also likes her teachers. To me, most of them are 循循善誘. 嚴格得欠人情味 or not – the degree of strictness will depend on individual teacher and the perception from parents. So far, I haven’t come across this kind of teacher in school.

3 weeks half day class only for those registered students of P.1 in the coming school term.

1 full week for 1 subject which is English, Maths and Chinese respectively. Textbooks will be used for teaching students. Some homework will be required and should be finished in class or at home. Main purpose is let those new little boys and girls to adapt the primary school life which requires them to be discipline in class, experience the recess time and the school timetable (half day only).

for this preparatory class, you means for the registered student, which kind of student can attend:deposit all the school fee at Sept 06 for registered student or student just deposit the $500 for resevered the seats for the Sept 06. I heard that some students studied at preparatory class but they still didn't study at KTS for P.1 finally.

i have deposit $500 for resevered the seat, but as i saw the school's notice that they need to register at June 2006. That means i need to decide at June whether my son will student at KTS or not. If i didn't register at June, he can not attend the preparatory class, it is correct?

I remembered that I also paid the full fee before the P.1 preparatory class. I think it is because the preparatory class is targeted mainly to the KTS students rather than outsiders and the school also needs to get the data regarding the nos of registration before the term starts. I understand that most of the schools will also request parents to pay full fee in June or before.

tks for your information. i would like to ask one more question:

For the English - they use Longman express 2A for the first term of P. 1 right?

then i am curious that as English grammer or others need to learn from the foundatmental and add it up, how they can teach 2A at the beginning and jump over 1A and 1B as normal, just like Math, how the student can learn adding if they didn't understanding what is the number is or how to count?

Are they teach the textbook 1A and 1B at the preparatory class?

Sorry for the queries, but i am worry about this.
