I mean parents should be someway professional, such at least college graduate, degree holder (law/medical) will be better, Master or PhD even better, I do not think money is really matters, if you are not as rich as donate to a board director level. But it is all based on the web information and my wild guess, of course it is not official. |

how do they know the education background of the parents? this information is not required in the application form.... |

Yes,parents only need to fill in the position of job and the name of employer on the appl. form so the school have no idea about the parents' qualification! Quote: heilokmama 寫道: how do they know the education background of the parents? this information is not required in the application form.... |

I think position of job can be a hint for parents' qualification!:-) |

Also, I think most of the parents provided the profile/papers, which is someway to indicate your education background. As I recalled from the application, you have to fill the occupation and the position, which is enough to indicate your past and current education background, just my judgement. |

Sometimes I think, will the principal believe what parents wrote in the profile about their education backgrounds or in the form their occupation and the position???? There is no proof as they won't check your graduate certificate nor your working ID.!!! Just a trust system!! |

hkalilai, To my gut feel, DGS has already made up the list and it's seldom for 'common' people to enter. Of course, you may be professional like doctor and lawyer, and your daughter is Christian, then good luck will come to you. However if you're just from the working class, it's high chance you won't be accepted. Anyway, it's fixed and no one can change anything now. julietta |

Julietta I totally agreed with you . I understand that you will face the disagreed one ... :chair: So be ready! |

Msma, There is nobody from DGS to clarify this rumour. On the contrary, to my observation these few days, there are more and more parents came to agree / believe in this 'rumour'. Seems that it is a real fact, rather than 'rumour'. So, I know how to find the school for my daughter now. Thanks. Julietta |
