loveyanpig,

We have a very interesting group of moms here: bb 俾雷聲嚇醒 and we will all clap clap clap! :-)

Yes, Sandy is a very nice and helpful lady! Actually her story is not very rare - maybe it's true that their hearing loss act as a driving force during their growth. Although their roads are not smooth, their achievement can still be high.

A gift to 子喬:

Shiba-Inu,

:chair:

Hi BK mums,

Hello

Long time no see, how's everything?

That's very interesting. When I was working in HK, EMB was still providing the training to kids who wear hearing aids (as young as 4-6 months old). The training should be provided by the inspectors / teachers for the deaf, and it should be some continuous weekly/bi-weekly individual sessions..... so they change their policies ALREADY???? 8-)

Frankly speaking, the habilitation process should start as early as the babies start their hearing experience (ie. wearing h/a). However, HK has just a handful of audiologists/ ST who are experience in working with hearing impaired babies. So if u want private training, there are only very few centers to choose from, nobody provides home service yet.

Continue to practise those 平日溝通嘅 techniques taught in the previous "course". And please check pm. ;-)

Hi wingmanBB  ,

I must be the one who is continuously using 看不明白的英文  . I know that's difficult for some parents, but the fact is that I do not know how to type Chinese . On the other hand, don't think that I don't understand Chinese ah, I am a 100% HKer!

Thank you for sharing with us your experience. On and off I come across parents like u in other forums, so actually there are quite a few parents walking on the same pathway for their kids. Add oil! :-D

If u know the 型號 of your girl's 耳機電池 (eg. #675 or #13), u can go to some big Watson's or Manning to try your luck. Sometimes they have stock of hearing aid batteries.

Hi reginang,

:hammer:
