Thank you dark coffee. I have just contacted one private school bus operator. She said the pick up time is 6:45 a.m. and reach home time is 1:40 p.m. I suppose they will arrive at school by 7:30a.m. Of course, the school bus might be late to arrive home. It seems not much different than the time you spent. :-D |

I think the private bus operator is James Wong. You may consider the private one. Ms Chan.Chan, Thank you for your advice. I will try to walk one day before I let my daughter walking to school. By the way, have you kept the P1 worksheet & exam. papers? Can you borrow me? |

darkcoffee, Sorry that I don't have P.1 test/exam papers since my daughter joined SH from P.2. In fact, exam papers would not be released, the girls do their corrections in the class only. |

Thank You. Your daughter must be very bright so that she can shift to P2. How about the Chi & Eng Comp. as well as the Eng. worksheets in P2? Please sorry for my request. I want to teach her in spare time or holiday. |

darkcoffee, Not really, my daugher studied in another primary school in P.1 and then shifted to SH in P.2. Wow, you want to teach your girl P.2 syllabus by yourself? |

Though I always view this topic as my daughter is studying here, I am not always speak here. The recent request from a parent for past exam paper is a bit scarry. Seems the daughter is just in P.1. No P1 papers, then ask for P2. I can't believe in nowadays, there is educated parent ( at least could communicate in English) making such request. My opinion only : no need to be so serious. If the kid has tried her best to study hard what she has learnt from school, parents should be happy about that. Even if they couldn't get 100 marks. It is a kind of training for the kid to learn the attitude of preparing for challenge (exam),not just for marks. Besides, if the school learn that there is kid / parent collecting past exam paper, what do they think / do? Other school seems would not release exam paper.Normally just do the correction during class. |

Hi Durian My opinion for getting the kid to do past exams papers is more for the purpose of getting her/him used to the exams format. I agree about learning in totality but sometimes, the kid needs to be enlightened in the perspective of how questions could be phrased, how answers should be provided, how words could be used in sentences, etc. Exams techniques also play a part in good results. Probably more important in higher primary when the kids need to be more in tune with using the knowledge in an active manner than just words from text books. Good luck to all in the preparations of exams next week :-D :-D :-D |

Forgot to mention - it is sometimes very enlightening to see how each school phrases questions in innovative ways, especially for Maths. 8-) 8-) 8-) |
