Totally Agree!
Not like other international school, most SIS students come from middle level families.
fyi, most SIS students go to school by school bus, instead of private car.
Also, school policy does not emphasize on material/financial area.
Like us, a middle level local family, we feel very comfortable in SIS study.
My son studies at SIS from PY1 to P5. He enjoys in his studying and make friends with his classmates, no matter rich / poor.

小女有d同學真的很有錢,成2座6-7層高的屋在山頂, 有依山而建的別墅等等....都有同事問過我, 妳成日帶佢參加咁多生日party,妳唔怕自己的小朋友自悲嗎?我告訴佢, 小朋友自唔自悲是睇父母點教佢, 所以我唔介意帶佢去見識下人地d大屋, 靚屋, 然後告訴佢, 妳很幸運, 雖然妳的daddy,mommy間屋沒有妳同學仔大, 又沒有車, 但妳依然可以讀國際學校, 妳所需要的沒有缺乏, 妳要學的東西全部都可以學, 所以妳要好好珍惜....

小朋友唔識睇唔起人, 小朋友的父母就很難講....即或不然, 為左小朋友得到自己認為最好的教育又有什麼所謂呢?好傾就傾多幾句囉!(我很好彩, 我個女的同學仔很多mommies雖然很有錢但都很友善).

science雖然很深但很有趣, 上年我先生都有話佢學的東西有D是我們FORM 2才學, 今年要做類似chemistry的實驗了,但小朋友學得很快, 而且掌握得很好, 很清晰,可能這就是越細學越容易掌握吧!如果妳去開新加坡, 可以買一本science書: Primary enclycopedia, 比課本更詳細, 是老師介紹買的, 不過妳個女仲細, 都是好好享受下同學仔的生日party吧, 越大越少開party架!

hi cheddar,

in fact, i know nothing about the interview coz no parents could accompany their children. It took about 15 to 20 mins and there were quite a lot of people waiting in the conference room. my little one only told me that she has been asked about her name and she played some toys in the assessment room. she got a candy at the end of the interview.

Dear gogocat,

We just came back from the interview. As you mentioned, I have no idea about the accessment as well. This morning there were not so many people in the waiting room, but there were parents and children kept coming in and out.

They also haven't decided how many py1 classes for this year and they didn't inform us when will be the
result announced.

Anyway, good luck! :-P
