| My kid's friends at SIS came from all sorts of kindergarten, some from local Cantonese/English ones like Lingnan, some from local international ones like Victoria, some from pure English ones like Small World & Woodland, some from pure Mandarin ones like Kiangsu. Some came from abroad. But I have heard along the grapevine that those who went to local ones had extra English classes after school. Some even went to two schools per day! Not all of them of course, but quite a number of them did. In fact, most of the PY1 students I met can talk in English or Mandarin like natives. So, prepare well. |

| ckbee, sis都屬教署管, 有固定的班及每班人數都有規範! 由於幾年前加建了幾層,所以比較多班房! 如果妳想睇下每級有幾班,可以visit sis的網頁,organisation個part列晒每班的班主任,妳便可以知道有幾多班...有遞減的情況因以前沒有中學及當然還有很多原因... sis中學是4-2制,跟住考gce,讀完後如果想考香港的大學應該是用non-jupas入大學,好像其他國際學校一樣吧!(其實我亦不大清楚,因很多讀國際學校的人都是為將來去外國升學做準備,如果想考香港的大學,可能讀local有些名的中學比較好吧) 我大女以前k1讀方方,英文班是native的老師教,我想可以基本明白及跟到指示做,不用廣東話回答便有很大的機會...細女的英文是靠工人和家姐同佢講,見佢都可以明白到基本的要求... 很欣賞妳咁快便為小朋友的學習做好準備呀! | Hi, yyyy do u know whether there is any differences in the school fees if entering the universities in HK via JUPAS and NON-JUPAS ? thanks ngtw |

| hi, yyyy, what is their education method? do they have dictation? do they have " exam scope"? or they are like real international school with westerna countries's education approach? |

| Hello hermoine and yyyy, 多謝你們的答覆,好詳細呀! :-D 我在english learning center 做part time tutor, 見到每日好多學生放左學仲要用2-3個鍾來上tutorial, 做功課,比我地check, 同埋佢地根本唔明d書講緊mug, 我好怕自己個囝將來都係咁, 唔明可以慢慢教,但最慘係返完學己好 :sleep: 仲要返tutorial, 簡直係對精神折磨, 所以想個囝返學可以輕鬆得來又學到野.... 香港的教育己唔同以前啦,我以前一直都冇留意香港教育, 所以真係要早小小同小朋友鋪路啦. 多謝晒你地,希望小兒可以做你們的學弟! :mrgreen: |

| When I studied at HKU as a non-Jupas, I paid the same amount as all my Jupas friends. I think (not 100% sure though), the difference between Jupas and non-Jupas entry is that Jupas doesn't require interviews, whilst non-Jupas definately requires interviews. Don't take my words for it though, you can always call up the university admission offices and ask. |

| mattsmum, sis用新加坡local的書,所以可以說是行新加坡的制度;需要dictation,中英都要,中文多些,也有中英作文(from p1);考試一,二年班考一次試,3-6年班考兩次試;會有排名,但只有1-3名有信通知要參加prize presentation才知道,其他名次就不知道. 對不起,由於未讀過 real international school with westerna countries's education approach,所以不能比較. 所以都想聽下 real international school with westerna countries's education approach是怎樣教學的,是否真的不用做功課及考試呢? 謝謝!
