Hi, My daughter has interviewed for PY2 in SIS and according to Helena there are very few places for PY2 (around 10) and there are priorities given to Singaporean and Siblings. Thus, I could only hope... Good luck for all the PY1 applicants. Hi gogocat, My daughter failed to complete the CIS Reception class assessment, she came out screaming/crying after went in the classroom with the teachers for 5 mins. We were asked to leave the school right after she came out hence we didn't even finish filling in the survey sheets. May I ask you why you want to switch to CIS? |

Hi cellcellu, In fact, my daughter is a small girl and we submitted the application to different Int' school in one go. for CIS we can submit the application form 2 years before the start of the school year. If my little one could get accepted by CIS, she could only go to reception class... I want her to be a small girl rather than a big girl in the school since she is pretty mature. to be honest, I dont particularly like/dislike SIS but just pretty sure that I wont let her study in SIS secoundary school. I noticed that most of the kids in SIS could speak fluent english but still SIS secondary school is too new. Anyway, I wont feel upset/ overjoyed even if she could get accepted by CIS coz SIS is good enough at the moment. which school does your daughter go now? Cheers gogocat Quote: cellcellu 寫道: Hi, My daughter has interviewed for PY2 in SIS and according to Helena there are very few places for PY2 (around 10) and there are priorities given to Singaporean and Siblings. good morning gogocat, Thanks for your sharing. I feel a lot more comfortable now  even though my daughter has a very little chance of getting into SIS... My daughter is now attending Victoria (HH) hence she chose to interview in Mandarin which she has more confident in. Have you apply CDNIS too? Cheers |

yes, i did appy CDNIS, GSIS and ESF as well. didnt get accepted by GSIS, i think it is too competitive. 180 pupils applied for 20+ places... I turned down CDNIS becoz "I" believe the chinese standard of SIS is higher (personal view only). didnt get a chance for ESF interview. Although I prefer SIS more than CDNIS, I feel SIS is easier to get accepted than CDNIS. Quote: cellcellu 寫道: good morning gogocat, Thanks for your sharing. hi gogocat, I do agree with your views on CDNIS and therefore didn't apply this school. By the way, I was talking to the SIS's security guard in the elevator on the interview day. He told me that he was working in CDNIS before and the discipline there was a lot looser than SIS which, as a mother of a girl, I do have concerns (but this is only one individual's comment) I really hope my daughter will get accepted into SIS :adore: |

Any SIS parents know what the science practical test for P4 students is about. Is it a laboratory test or a written test? echu |
