| Very appreciate to your sharing. I choose IS for my kid is not only for "good English". The main purpose is that I don't want the "spoon feeding" system spoils my kid's interest in learning. I don't want him to learn for "exam" or "result", I want him to enjoy learning and have whole person development. 求學不是求分數is strongly promoting by the gov't, but why still have小學呈分試and the "banding" system? My husband and I were studying in the "so-called" 名小學and understand how hard our school life were, we don't want our kid to 重滔覆徹. I understand that Chinese is becoming more and more important. I'm planning to let my kid join some Chinese class (of course putonghua) after school and keeping speaking Cantonese at home. Hope it works. 旻旻&思思 & MarcusD, Hope you can have compromise with your spouse, their support are very important. |

| It seems that everybody wish their kids to master both English & Chinese (Mandarin). May be SIS is one of the options. |

That is great! (I am not sure is it true! Just learn from the web only) To: fleet My wife agreed that we will apply this year! However if no IS accept my boy ( he is a small boy, born on OCT.) Then..... Go back to local kinder and retake K2. (Ah...Nightmare begin) So.....again.. Pray hard! And trusted Heavenly Father will provide the best for him! (He is the provider, not me!) |

| 我的仔仔2008年入學,現在我正考慮報讀西貢英基幼稚園,請問: 1)它是否只得k1及k2?然後是否升小學? 2)它的學費多少? 3)interview困難嗎? 4)小學的學費如何? 5)小學之後的學生有甚麼去向呢? 上述問題時常提及$,因為我們只是中產階級.作出選校決定也承受一定的pressure(家人及經濟),但因為我也想BB有愉快的學習環境及童年,所以希望大家能幫幫我!Thank you! |

| gab 真的十分多謝你的回覆,資料十分詳盡.Thanks! 你的孩子也讀國際學校嗎?如果是,哪一所呢? 申請英基不用interviw,哪用甚麼準則收生? 除了英基外,你還認識其他好的國際學校嗎? 其實我曾讀傳統學校多年,也曾教傳統小學多年,都幾清楚學校的運作,即使是一般的學校,強迫小朋友讀書的情況已十分可怕(我自己也曾是劊子手),可況是名校呢?所以我對即使是打正旗號的活動教學幼稚園信心不大. |
