:wave:monkeymei,
You are not the only one who start to search information about primary school when your child is still a baby. I also started to read + ask about CKY, VP, PKC, HKUGA.... 1 yr. ago, and my girl is now 21 months old. CKY is my 1 st choice!

THANKS for all parents. You really help me to know more about CKY.

Hi, joanneheungyy,

Hi Clementmummy,
I bought a SPI school bag for my son. The colour is a bit different from the one I saw in CKY. However, the teacher told me that they accepted the kid using a school bag which is not pure blue.
The big cartoon characters are not the good choice.

However, I'll go thr. the whole process again, I have a seven months old son coming... 8-) 8-) 8-)

Thank you for your information. Is that you mean beside SPI, I have to buy it from school. Are there any choices.

I think that you can buy any other brand name. But the school bag should be blue and avoid any pattern on it. As I told you before, a small cartoon is acceptable. I get these information from CKY.
Hope this can help.

Dear monkeymei,

Of course I totally agree your point to equip the kid with the necessary attributes. What I refer to is some parent already preset the final status of the child such as they need to be a doctor, lawyer etc as read from their expression. I admit we all have certain amount of value set because we learned from our experience BUT it is passed and it is in the past. Discipline problem is an issue and depends on our cultural change, what I expect and implement is there should be a bottom line not from the school but we as the parent.

I feel bad mood now since I just notice today is the announcement of F7 result. Although it's none of my business but when I think of how the existing education system kills the creativity of teenager, I feel bad. The situation will not rectify and even more enhance since the decrease of student will have the impact on existing secondary schools and they will just react (life or death problem) to put more exams, tests, assessment in order to boost up the result of student. The case is not just exists on brand 1 schools but all of it. Imagine if you were the student, how will you have the interest to study just for the result. The survivors are just machines and materialistic, the losers(from all grades) will label themselves as #### and how can you expect them to behave rationally when they start work. It soon will become a social problem. I will not blame schools as they are just a factory now and who talk about education believes is outfashion and cannot attract parent's attention.

Look back to the gov. policy, they start to attract elite student(pressure from local U)/professional to Hong Kong, on the table they say it just the world trend and I am sure they did know the underlying problem and why to do so. It's just too political to change the existing pri. and sec. education system.

In all, it's the gov. policy and parent who make the situation become as such and as individual, we can't change anything but place our next generation in a better(may be) environment not because of let them escape from pressure but a meaning study even though it may drawn most of my resources(putting 2 kids in CKY is not kidding) and seriously affect my living standard.

3b,

根據去年我參加簡介書的情況, 並沒有機會與CKY的學生接觸, 但今年加插了功課簡介, 不知道會否請同學們在旁介紹??
