ckbee, 千萬不要這樣說呀! 始終讀國際學校的香港人為數不多, 有時真是會迷失, 需要彼此支持! 上星期五去完學校的math workshop,聽一個3年班同學的daddy上台分享他如何由一年班開始帶領個小朋友由不懂model到完成了1-6年班的數學,我個女都知他小朋友的數學非常好…又見local school的小朋友經過補習,大大小小的training後都會比同年的小朋友叻d. 反觀自己, 好像行緊反方向, 所以都忍不住問了先生一句: “我們會否太少理自己個女?”, 只是一問(心裡其實有點兒怪他沒有像那daddy一樣幫個小朋友), 我便上了半個小時的心理輔導…..他認為人最重要是keep住對追求知識有興趣, 其實讀書都是很開心的,因可以得到知識, 好像妳現在食緊的糖水(宵夜中),其實食得好開心,但如果每次食完糖水之後都要被人打,妳之後就會見到糖水就怕,local school無辦法,因佢地要應付呈分試,所以一定要谷d小朋友,成績唔好要補習,因要呈分,成績好的也要補習,因要keep住d成績,除了補習還要參加興趣班,比賽…每次考試和比賽都比很多壓力個小朋友,要成績好(interview要睇),要得到一張見得人的cert…所以對個小朋友來說就好像每次食完糖水後要比人打一樣…學習求知識一點樂趣也沒有, 他說求學的生涯是漫長的,他小學考第一個個會考成績也不如他, (佢見我若有所思便說不是話我,但其實我也應對追求知識多點興趣(成機)),家長極其量都只可以谷小朋友到小學畢業,如果因而令個小朋友唔鍾意食糖水是多麼可惜…他問我, 如果我們要谷小朋友如local school,抄寫多d當然識的字也多d, 為何要比咁多學費讀國際學校???就是希望佢可以在無壓力之下享受追求知識的樂趣,無疑香港的中學,小學成績都比外國好,但大學之後,外國的畢業生就smart很多了…所以見個女成績都ok就不用太緊張,反而要留意她的品格,為人是否誠實…. yyyy, you are so great to share everything u know about SIS w/ parents here! :-D :-D :-D I'm really interested in SIS, but i'm not quite sure how the debentures and capital levy work? if bb enters PY1, i need to pay personal debenture $60000 + entrance fee $12000 + capital levy $6000 (of course plus the school fee). then for the 2nd year, i only need to pay capital levy + school fee. i can redeem the debenture after my bb left school, right? correct me if i'm wrong! thanks a lot! yyyy, my bb is only 4.5 months old!! hahahah :-) maybe a bit too early, right?! :oops: my husband always says i plan too far ahead. :sm: regarding the debenture, normally can i sell it in a higher price? cuz' i know some debentures of other schools can be sold a bit higher than the purchase price. |
