| evatsoihk, 不好意思, 我通常沒有什麼好介紹的,因為我無論揀什麼(細的包括揀衫,揀鞋,揀學野的地方,大的包括揀工,揀工人,甚至揀老公/學校)都十分隨緣/隨便的,如果我好像別人所說是一個幸福快樂的人,這全是恩典,讓我總是覺得身邊的人好好,老公好好,小朋友讀的學校好好... 所以妳都可以推想到,我小朋友學珠心算和中國畫一定是在家附近,以前住西區,而第三街及高街到處都是學野的地方,隨便揀了一些...我個女這方便有D似我,ONCE揀左就唔想變,所以現在每星期都有一日去西區學畫畫...講真, 個老師人就好好,對小朋友好細心,照顧有加,教法是小朋友喜歡畫什麼就教他們畫什麼,沒有進度可言...見佢咁好人,有時都想話佢知依家小朋友學野要家長ORIENTED架,要比家長知道小朋友第一年學到什麼,第二年又會學什麼先得架....不過見我個女當年跟佢學左幾個月就攞左個由成報舉辦的全港幼稚園劃畫比賽冠軍,佢又在一間名幼稚園/小學(在銅鑼灣和海怡都有分店個間)教興趣班,可能佢真係有佢自己一套方法,係高人都未定....不過佢間畫室唔係好見得人,所以唔好意思介紹比妳... | 請問SIS D Summer class,多唔多for py1 升py2 呢?記得上年for 預備升py1的朋友的選擇很少,而且每個class only lasts 2 weeks and ended before August. 請問有冇家長參加過SIS summer class 可以share 呢?我看見有D IS 已經開始可報summer school, 想揾多Ｄ information. many thanks |

When i was a teacher b4, i always persuded my students to do their homework by themselves. i even requested parents not to intervene them cuz' if i explained things clearly, i'm sure all students should be able to finish the homework and vice versa. homework can somehow reflect the students' understanding. From my experience, students do things on their own can do much better in exams as they understand the materials better. 3 reasons for choosing SIS: 1)SIS is not as "貴族" as other IS. at least the tuition fee and debentures are afforable (for me). 2)i want my boy to be capable in english, mandarin and math. If my boy can do well in his primary education, he must be fine in his secondary or even in university. 3) i don't want my boy to be toooo loose in discipline. yyyy, your daughters are so lucky to hv a caring mother like you. :-D :-D :-D |

| yyyy, 一般來說,sis的學生都好積極參與課外活動及校外的興趣班? 係咪都好自發睇課外書? (噢,當然個個人不同,不過...generally speaking...) |

| ckbee, 通常興趣班大多都是父母安排,所以積極與否,與父母的取向有關,不過由於功課少,父母安排時彈性比較大... 至於睇課外書,學校1-2年班時會極力鼓勵,如果父母與此同時跟學校配合,比較大機會幫小朋友養成睇課外書的習慣...今早送阿女返學,特別留意下neibourhood間國際學校小朋友搭校車時睇書情況,發現在車上睇緊書機乎都是金頭髮的人...問個女點解,佢話chinese怕車上睇書會近視...不過我覺得我們chinese的父母書不離手的人都很少(相對外國人)...所以沒有身教...chinese的小朋友自然書不離手也不多... sis絕大部份都是chinese,我想情況差不多,不過沒有親眼見到...但都有見過小女同學搭車,行街都拿著書...最經典有一個上所有堂都睇書(lower level時)... 小女都愛睇書,但不可以說書不離手,星期一放假(after學校sportday),就見佢睇腦筋急轉彎,十萬個為什麼,叮噹漫畫(點解好似全部都是中文書???),其實都有英文,不過d名好難記...horrible的書比較吸引她... | evatsoihk, 由於sis以往沒有中學,很多小朋友在4-6年班都會轉校,今年的情況已比較好了,去到5年班還有4班,6年班也有2班... 相信妳都覺得sis取態於is與local之間,academic比較重,p3開始有science,數學用model(聞說全世界只有新加坡用,美國現在才有些學校開始用,好處是快25%),如果science和數學較弱的小朋友,父母及小朋友在upper level時都比較辛苦,所以我發覺有些父母因不想小朋友咁辛苦也會考慮轉校... 至於中學,是要平均分達50%才可直升上去,剛剛收到學校news(長達6頁紙),好像說預科班有機會有option選IB或GCE,如果是真就好極了!!!但初中就一定是GCE了. 請幫眼睇睇有沒有理解錯: 18.
