mrsphcheung: no problem! May I kindly ask you to share the information obtained from the centre later on? Since I am not the one who needs to the counselling service, I wasn't allowed to enter the classroom. We'd be very grateful if more information can be obtained. Thanks

BTW, according to the post from another person, I believe that this center uses 感統訓練 (that should be the correct translation). They focus on spatial relationships.

Where have you been?? I am still waiting for you ah..
:sleep: This is what I have gathered for you so far:
1) the books from the Davis centre
2) neurological explanation of dyslexia (with pictures and diagram from a medical doctor at Yale uni)
3) some puzzles and toys for 2D representation
4) some tools for me to explain my own symptom (and very likely your niece's as well)
5) some graphic organizers for managing ideas with fewer words (Dr. T is right. As a form 2 girl, she can't still focus on recognization words. We need to teach her complication ideas for better comprehension....)
6) a book for teaching kids who hate HW..
7) probably some piano texts that focus on kinesthetic treatment........

Can you think of anything else??? It takes some times for me to find those (and probably I won't be able to find more in HK cos I don't know how yet...)
Let's keep thinking about it, ok?

他們有些書籍可以參閱，但不知有沒有用具可以借用。

你都一樣好努力ah! 我看完教育學院的website 了﹗很多authors 的journal articles 我都在Canada 讀過。 我想我們應該非常on track. 我正在很努力很努力地看那些中文的articles, 因為我想對HK的support systems 了解多D。

用具方便我們都應該不用太擔心了﹗ HKU 的 library 原來有很多3D kits 同 玩具﹐ 不過我唔知可唔可以 sign out.
有resources 我地就用盡拒勒﹗ 港大真係﹐ 話就話有獎學金﹐ 但十月先第一次拿到錢(一年分十二次給我)﹐ 而足足半年前(四月) 就要我交學費 :giveup: 我已經在想如何可以用番條數 (因為唔順氣﹗ 哈哈 :angryfire: )

但平心而論﹐ 港大的library 真的不錯﹐ 很多書我都找到﹐仲要是immediately available, 所以都應該不錯。。

最後是有關equipment 的問題﹐ 你有無wobble board 同大到可以當"deng" 坐既 gym ball?
