Hi Clement Mammy,
My son is in 1C. He likes CkY also. Tonight he told me that he should bring something to school for "Show and Tell'. When he was in kindergartent, he seldom did such things. He was not eager for such activity. But here, he is different. I am glad to see his change.

Hi Curry123,

my one was in 1C last year. Mr. Heinze is their superhero, they loved this teacher so much and had fun with him for the whole year. Actually, Mr. Heinze is a very famous teacher in CKY, most of the students love him so much. Ms. Cham is also a very helpful teacher and she is so nice to those little guys, made them feel comfortable in their first year. Hope your son will have a joyful year too.

My girl in 2C. How about your son? Anyway, I think the NAT teacher is not stable (always quit) and hard to employ. Therefore, CKY change their way to get more ABC.

I cannot hear that my son need to bring thing to TELL in class so far :-?

Till this moment my son and I do love this school so much. Unfortunately the school bus department/ arrangement is awful. Especially in the rainny day. Today the bus get late for 20min :angryfire:

The place where we wait the bus without any cover and kids need to cross the road etc. I made complaint to school bus department and also to the driver, but still no feedback. God! what can I do....

Dear Clementmammy,

My son told me last week that he needed to bring one of his favorite toys to the class for 'Show and Tell'. As Mrs Wright will arrange two children to present everyday, so he has to wait and will be informed when to bring the toy back. Think you could ask your son for more details. On the other hand, my son said the Principal told P.1 students stories yesterday, it seemed he enjoyed it very much.

Comparing with the kindergarten, my son likes this school and the teachers very much. Sometimes, he asks me not to disturb him to read books, is it quite weird!!

Dear CKY parent,

I have a difficulty again. The class teacher wrote in the hand book, said that my boy don't willing to speak ENGLISH so far.
May I know what can I do to improve this?
Did any parent have face the same problem before and can share the experience?

I hired a Phillipiner when my kid just born, so my son able to speak English till his 5 years old.
The Phillipiner got back to get marry after. And I have hired an Indonisian now for 6 months. After that, my son don't willing to speak anymore in English. :-(

聽到都覺得大鑊,有冇受罰 :-) Don't worry.

As what my darling said (in her class), student has to stand on the side for a minutes for every time you speak Chinese in English class...two time, two minutes and so on. For first few day, over twenty students are standing :-) :-) Oooooo may be they are careless or they really want to stand :-) for fun. Now, only few student or nobody are required to stand on the side anymore.

They are having fun with teacher's game and their teaching method, such as Bingo and Show & Tell. As long as your son willing to get involved, then he would like to speak up in English. If he likes go to school and play with his classmates and teachers, then one day he will adopt it.

On your side, may be you have to creat an English environment for your son....parents speak English with him or even watch English channel (Disney Channel/Playhouse).
