Hi ANChan59 and other parents of Wai Lee,
I am a new parent here. My boy will join P.1 pm in Sept, very anxious and really hope he could adapt to the life there.

We are so glad that he has offered a pm seat in the first round. Yet, this is my boy's choice too. We took him to our two final choices and he told us that he liked this school a lot.

ANChan59 and other parents' kids attending pm class, may I know more on how you allocate the time for your kids? My hubby and I are working and it is also the reason why we selected pm class, we hope to accompany him more on his study. But in the morning before going to school, how do you manage the time with your kid? I start to worry..... and alsop I afraid he will be tired after school and cannot concentrate well on homework.

Please could somebody give me more advice. Thanks a lot.

Hi Leungchai, how many mark do you have in the 1st round? more than 15 marks?

Your worry on pm class is the same as what i worry now.

Congratulations to you both!
Don't worry that the child will be tired in school. For my daughter, she sleeps at 12:00 a.m. and wakes up at 10:00 a.m., then has her free time and has lunch, and then goes to school at 12:00 p.m. So she is not tired at all. All her extra-curricular activities are on Saturdays/Sundays.

I agreed with Annew's review. The key thing is your family routine, like if both parents are working and back home late. PM class is good to maintain family relationship. Also, some kids are also sleep late naturally, like my son, if you force him or her to sleep early, they wont follow and hurt the relationship.

Other experience:
1. Don't put all activities on Sat and Sun, too pack is no good;
2. If activities aim for secondary school applications, you can gather more info of what they want and plan strategically;
3. Follow their interest and they are happy to do it;

My wife is readng a good book "The Pressured Child" - Dr. Michael Thompson and Teresa Barker, ISBN 0-345-45013-2. The book reviews the concerns and difficulties of children in school.

Thanks all for the information. I am still adapting as well as my son. I am still adapting psychologically. I also afraid he will miss here and that in the school and whether he could have friends in his class......

我囝囝今年又要簡小學啦, 可以分享多啲關於呢間學校嗎?

我想問下, 衛理小學係半日, 咁星期六係個個星期都要返, 定係長,短週呀?
