Refer to the test papers (not only Chinese but also English), I also think that the worksheets are more difficult that the tests.8-)
When I prepared the test with my son, I found that he did not understand some of the questions but he knew how to do it. :-? :-? Then I told him even the test is easier than your worksheet, it doesn't mean you no need to understand what you are learning and doing. Learning is benefit to you and don't just focus on the marks of tests and exam.
Actually I think the attitude of learning is more important that the marks, especially for the young kids.
They are just P1 students, only 6 yrs old. Give more chances and times to them and you will see the improvement.:cheeze: :cheeze: :cheeze:
