My son is now studying in k1. The teachers are nice and well caring to the students. |

My daughter has been transfer from local kindergarten into YMCA (TST) when she was K3, and this is a very big decision for us (big different in school fee, longer distance, etc). What I can share is my girl have a huge change after 2 ~ 3 month when she was there ---- much more happier, very good command in English, and more important is the size of the class (less than 15 people in one class with "real" 2 teachers). She got way better attention and care, which you are hardly find it in the local kindergarten. No more extra work to do just to help the teacher for "window dressing" of the kindergarten.... If you are planned to put your child into international school in Primary school after that, this is a very good choice. Highly recommended!!!And afterall, it worth! |

But in fact in a lot of International schools, kids start studying P.1 after K2, not K3. If study in YMCA K3, are the students going to join P.1 of local schools afterwards? |

Yes, you are correct. If you are aiming to put your child into the international school P.1 (say ESF) you do need to start to put your child in K1, and they will start the P1 after you finished K2 in YMCA. However, the school life in K3 at YMCA are also full of excitment too. Lots of interesting activities (swimming, wall climbing, Golf, etc) are well equipped inside the school. Right now my girl is in the ISF at P.1, which I am very happy about it. Originally we would like to put our daughter into ESF, but we missed the chance.... but when we look back, this is truly an arrangement of GOD that let our child to be in ISF instead of ESF, since they have a good balance between English + Chinese, plus a fairly good method to encourage the child to enjoy the self study + exploration. They find study in ISF are full of fun and excitment. ESF is also a very good school as well. You will find yourself so lucky to decided to put your child to study in international school, which they are focus on built up the strenght + ability of your child, but not to make you and your child to question about their (or your) ability to learn by having TONS of homework and test.... I am very glad about my decision. Hope you and your child will enjoy the time at YMCA!!! |
