Dear nicmother, Me too! Until now my daughter hasn't started revision yet. Every time we asked her, she said she knew already. Sometimes, she told us that Ms Chan said mark would not be given in the first dictation. We'll stay at home to do the revision today, too. Just let you know you're not alone. Let's work hard together! ;-) |

Dear 1D Parent I also prepare the dictation for my daughter. She remembers most of the words even the hard words (報紙,蘋果,難...等), but some of them she keep doing the same mistakes.(完全忘記有沒,便知,然..) I don't know what to do. Quite panic. :-( |

1D parent, Need your help, do you want what is about the assignment "Do My School and Me" (page 6)? My daugther said is to draw picture... is that's correct?? :-? No revision yet... still struggling for the dictation... |

nicmother, It's to draw (and colour if she likes) on P.6 of the HOME ASSIGNMENT NOTE BOOK about anything your daughter could think of about the relationship between the school and herself. She may draw pictures like her involvement in schools during lessons/ recess/ meal time... etc. CharissaQuote: nicmother 寫道: 1D parent, Need your help, do you want what is about the assignment "Do My School and Me" (page 6)? Dear 1D Parents, I am also encountering problems in preparing for her Chinese dictation. My daughter keeps on saying that the words are very difficult to remember. Some time she could dictate a set of characters without making mistakes but forget a few of them afterwards. What's worse is that she could mix up one character with the others! Troubles? :-? My kid also claims that no scores will be marked upon tomorrow's dictation! I personally has the impression got on the orientation day (9/13) in the classroom from Miss Chan that she may show their results in form of facial expressions: smily, no expression, unhappy, ... faces! Correct me if I'm wrong. Let's all work harder today and wish our kids would be rewarded with a lovely :-P ! Charissa |

Charissa, Thks for your help. My girl has cried for many times about the dictation. She always forget the word "difficult" ! More, there are some word that she know in the 1 and 2nd time of dictation, but, afterward, she write it WRONG?! Yes, I also remember the stamp of facial impression. However, I remember Ms Chan said she will asked to dictate some words that is from "word database".. do u remember? Will that applicable this time? Still 2 hrs to go to bed... let's work hard... |

Hi, every one! Take it easy and don't put too much pressure on your daughter. It is only their first dictation and it is a long way to go. Give them more encouragement and they can make it. Even if they don't get all the words right in the first dictation, it does not really matter. It is most important that you would not make your daughter have 陰影on dictation. :pint: :pint: :pint: |

nicmother, I could recall Ms Chan mentioning about giving the kids extra 10 marks if they dictate the characters correctly from "word database". I personally think if the result of this dictation is going to be marked with facial expressions instead of digits, the chance of dictating words from "word database" won't be that high. Anyway, it's too late to revise any more. Let's take it easy as FatWater says. After all, it's only the first dictation, there will be many more to come. As we have already tried our best helping them in revision, let's sit back and see how things go tomorrow! Good night! |
